Configuring Media Upload Options
This provides a step-by-step guide to configuring media upload settings within your application. Follow these instructions to enable or restrict media uploads and choose storage options.
Step 1: Enable Media Uploads
Navigate to the Converse Settings page in your application.
Go to Conversations > General settings.
Locate the Media Uploads section.
Toggle the switch labeled Do you want to allow users to upload media files?
Yes: Enables media uploads.
No: Disables media uploads.

Step 2: Configure Storage Options

After enabling media uploads, a new section appears labeled Choose the storage options for media uploads.
Select one of the following options:
Allow upload from Local and Salesforce storage: Users can upload files from their local device or Salesforce storage.
Only allow file uploads from Salesforce storage: Users can upload files only from Salesforce storage.

Attaching Files from Salesforce and Desktop
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for attaching files from Salesforce or your desktop while composing a message.
Overview
When composing a message, users can attach files using the attachment icon in the message interface. Businesses can configure which options are available to users:
Select from Salesforce
Upload from Desktop
By default, both options are enabled, but administrators can control these settings as needed.
Steps to Attach Files
Step 1: Open the Attachment Menu
While composing a message, click the Attachment icon in the message interface.
A pop-up menu will appear with the following options:

Upload from Desktop
Step 2: Attach Files from Salesforce
Click Select from Salesforce.
A Salesforce document view will open, similar to the interface in Salesforce Chatter.
Browse and locate the file you wish to attach from Salesforce storage.
Select the file and click on 'Attach'.
The system will perform the following actions:
If the file has a public URL, the file will be attached to the message using that URL.
If the file does not have a public URL, it will be uploaded to SMS-Magic storage and then attached to the message.
Confirm the attachment is visible in the message composition area.

Step 3: Upload Files from Desktop
Click Upload from Desktop.
A file explorer window will appear.
Select the file you wish to attach from your local device.
Confirm the file upload. The file will now appear as an attachment in the message composition area.
Step 4: Send the Message
Once the desired file(s) are attached, complete your message.
Click Send to deliver the message along with the attached file(s).
