Spam Number Blocking

Block numbers who are sending spam to you

SMS-Magic helps you stay safe by detecting unwanted or spam messages. If someone keeps sending you spam, you can block their number so they can't message you again. You can also block messages that contain certain words.

We make sure that important messages from your trusted contacts are not marked as spam by mistake. If you see a message that feels like spam, you can report it to help improve spam detection for everyone.

All spam messages go into a separate folder, so your main inbox stays clean.

Steps to Mark a Conversation as Spam

1. Using the Suspicious Spam Prompt:

  • When a suspicious message is detected, you will see a prompt with options to block or report the message.

2. Manually Marking as Spam:

  • Click on the three dots (⋮) on the conversation you want to mark as spam.

  • Select "Mark as Spam" from the menu.

Actions Explained

  • Block: Selecting the "Block" option will prevent future messages from the specified number from reaching your inbox. This is particularly useful when you encounter spam or unwanted messages from recurring sources. Once blocked, any new messages sent from this number will be automatically filtered out in the spam Inbox, ensuring a cleaner and more organized inbox.

  • Report: The "Report" action not only blocks future messages from the specified number but also sends information to the system. This alert helps identify suspicious or spam-like content across the platform. If other users receive similar messages, they’ll see a warning prompt, allowing them to avoid potential spam or fraudulent interactions. This dual action enhances both individual and system-wide security.

  • Add to Contacts: This will open a new contact form in Salesforce to add your customer information.
